About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and standardization of IT operations across all business units and locations.
As a key member of the team, you will play a hands-on role in managing infrastructure, supporting end users, and enforcing Group IT standards to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
1. Infrastructure & Network Management
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi
- Monitor and optimize firewall configurations to ensure robust network security
- Support and maintain server environments and cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure)
2. Endpoint & Security Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of end-user devices (MacBook, laptops, desktops, mobile devices)
- Implement endpoint security controls, patch management, and software deployment
- Enforce IT security policies and ensure compliance with Group standards
3. IT Asset & Lifecycle Management
- Track and manage IT assets from procurement to decommissioning
- Ensure timely hardware refresh cycles and compliance with security baselines
4. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Execute and monitor backup strategies and disaster recovery processes
- Ensure business continuity through reliable data protection practices
5. Application & User Support
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and system provisioning
- Support business applications, websites, and hosting environments
- Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution and system improvements
6. Policy Implementation & Governance
- Enforce Group IT policies, standards, and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistency across all IT operations
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT Engineer, System Engineer, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos) and VPN setup is an added advantage
- Experience managing Windows/Linux servers and cloud platforms(Microsoft Azure), and Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID/Azure AD)
- Microsoft 365 security & compliance (Defender, Conditional Access, MFA) is an added advantage
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools(e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or equivalent)
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA or Microsoft certifications (or equivalent), are an added advantage.
