Investment Research Analyst (Tech / AI) - Asset Management, Family Office

Overview
A hands-on research role focused on U.S. technology and AI equities. This position supports fundamental and thematic research, financial modelling, and idea generation for a growing tech-focused investment portfolio. Ideal for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about innovation and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

. Conduct bottom-up research on U.S.-listed tech and AI companies
. Build and maintain financial models, earnings trackers, and valuation work
. Analyse industry data, benchmarks, and AI-related trends (semiconductors, cloud, software)
. Monitor news, filings, and research to identify catalysts and risks
. Prepare research summaries, thematic notes, and presentations
. Support idea generation, portfolio monitoring, and performance reviews
. Maintain organised research databases and archives
. Engage external data providers, brokers, and research sources when required

Requirements

. Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
. 3-5 years of equity research or investment analysis U.S. tech/AI exposure preferred
. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and data analysis skills
. Familiar with key tech metrics (ARR, cloud growth, GPU trends, etc.)
. Strong writing and communication abilities
. High attention to detail and able to work independently
. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Bloomberg/FactSet a plus
. English proficiency Mandarin is beneficial
. Passion for innovation, disruptive tech, and public markets
. Comfortable working in a small, agile, high-expectation environment
