about the job
- Policy & Framework: Manage the bank's adherence to enterprise-wide risk management policies, local risk monitoring policies to meet both group standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Credit Risk Management: Manage the bank's credit exposure, credit risk, promote strong asset quality, and cultivate a robust credit culture through adherence to established lending guidelines.
- Strategic Partnership: Provide expert guidance to business units on risk management issues, complex facility structuring, client selection, and risk mitigation strategies. Support the bank's strategic growth by enabling business initiatives within a sound and prudent risk framework.
- Reporting & Communication: Ensure senior management at both the local and head office levels are kept updated on reporting of various risks aspects. Effectively communicate all risk decisions and policy updates to relevant business and support units.
- Operational Risk & Culture: Develop an independent view on material operational risks and the effectiveness of key controls. Champion a risk-aware culture across the branch through targeted training and continuous advisory.
- Stakeholder Management: Co-manage communications with regulatory bodies and auditors, working in close collaboration with senior branch leadership.
- AML: Ensure full compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) policies, cultivating good compliance practices throughout the branch.

skills and experience
- Degree holder in Accounting, Business, Banking & Finance and Economics
- 15 years of experience in corporate banking credit analysis and/or credit review
- Knowledge in (structured) trade finance, corporate loans, treasury and financial markets
