Head of Network Reliability Engineering

Role

As Head of Network Reliability Engineering, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining high-performance, secure, and scalable network infrastructure across data centers, trading platforms, and enterprise systems. You will lead a team of engineers focused on reliability, automation, and continuous improvement, while collaborating closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams. This is a hands-on leadership role that demands deep technical expertise in network design, security, and operations, particularly within regulated environments. Key responsibilities include overseeing network performance, implementing observability tools, managing vendor relationships, and driving compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in network engineering, ideally within capital markets or regulated industries
• Deep expertise in networking protocols (e.g. BGP, MPLS, SDN), enterprise hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper), and network security technologies (e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
• Strong proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform), with experience in cloud networking and containerized environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues, manage high-availability environments, and lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills and relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CISSP preferred
