Head of Internal Audit / East / Full-time / Min 10yrs / Japanese manufacturing

About Our Client:

Our client is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a Japanese company, and specializes in medical, pharmaceutical, and glass products. With a global workforce of over 29,000 employees, they have established a significant international presence.

They are seeking a highly experienced Head of Internal Audit to oversee audit activities across its subsidiaries in APAC. This strategic leadership role directly contributes to strengthening governance, compliance, and business management across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with global audit policies
• Oversee J-SOX evaluations and liaise with external auditors
• Assess internal controls and business operations for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance
• Provide actionable recommendations for improvement to senior management
• Conduct risk assessments to drive risk-based audit planning
• Mentor and train audit team members, supporting their growth and development
• Collaborate with regional subsidiaries and global headquarters, requiring regular travel

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Professional certifications: CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA (or equivalent)
• Minimum 10+ years of internal and external audit experience
• Strong knowledge of SOX / J-SOX compliance and financial reporting controls
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in an international context
• Experience working with a Japanese company would be an advantage

Others:

• Salary: SGD 9,000-11,000 (Depending on the experience)
• Bonus: AWS+VB
• Working hours: Office hours (Mon-Fri)
• Location: East Area
