What we're looking for

Xenith is looking for a commercially driven, endlessly curious leader to build and scale strategic partnerships across Asia, with an immediate focus on Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, and a strong emphasis on cross-border money movement linked to Vietnam. This role is suited to someone who has been through a true 0-to-1 journey before: identifying the right corridor opportunities, opening doors with payment and remittance partners, structuring deals, and helping turn a new business line into a scalable engine.

The role will cover both Xenith's core B2B business and its newer D2C opportunity. Xenith's platform currently supports collections, disbursements, and cross-border settlements, with local payment methods in Southeast Asia. This hire will be expected to expand the partner ecosystem that enables those flows and unlock new commercial use cases.

What you'll do

  • Lead Xenith's business development and partnership strategy for Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, with a focus on building cross-border payment corridors connected to Vietnam.
  • Build and scale strategic relationships with payment gateways, PSPs, local acquirers, banks, remittance providers, money changers, and payout partners to support both B2B and D2C business lines.
  • Identify new corridor opportunities where businesses and consumers need to move money across borders, especially into and out of Vietnam, and translate those opportunities into executable partnership plans.
  • Own the full partnership lifecycle, including sourcing, qualification, commercial structuring, pricing discussions, compliance alignment, contract negotiation, onboarding, and launch.
  • Work closely with technology, compliance, operations, and leadership teams to shape market-entry priorities and ensure partner capabilities can be operationalized at scale.
  • Define and launch Xenith's D2C partnership model, including relationships with remittance operators, money service businesses, and local payout or cash-based distribution partners.
  • Expand Xenith's B2B growth by developing partnerships that strengthen collections, payouts, settlement capabilities, and alternative payment method coverage across target markets.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality regional pipeline, with clear prioritization of strategic accounts, partner economics, regulatory considerations, and speed-to-launch.
  • Build the playbook, internal processes, and team needed to scale the partnerships function beyond the initial 0-to-1 stage.

What you should have

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial roles within fintech, payments, remittance, FX, banking, or financial infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of building partnerships in cross-border payments, particularly across Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
  • Strong experience working with payment infrastructure providers, payment gateways, PSPs, banks, remittance operators, money service businesses, or related financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated success in early-stage build environment, including launching new markets, new corridors, or new partnership-led products from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border payment flows, including collections, disbursements, settlement structures, local payment methods, and partner commercial models.
  • Experience leading complex commercial negotiations across business, legal, compliance, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate strategically while staying close to execution.
  • High ownership mindset and comfort working in ambiguity while building structure, process, and momentum from the ground up.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience in a payment infrastructure company, cross-border payments platform, remittance business, fintech, or regulated financial services environment.
  • Direct exposure to Vietnam-linked payment or money movement corridors.
  • Experience in either B2B payments partnerships or D2C remittance / consumer money movement partnerships.
  • Existing network across payment, remittance, or financial partner ecosystems in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, and operational considerations involved in launching cross-border financial products.
