Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Head Chef specializing in Korean cuisine to lead our kitchen operations. The Head Chef will be responsible for delivering authentic and high-quality Korean dishes while managing kitchen operations, food safety, and team leadership to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations for Korean cuisine
- Plan, develop, and execute authentic Korean menus in line with the restaurant's concept
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Manage food cost, inventory, and supplier coordination
- Ensure full compliance with NEA food hygiene and safety regulations
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
- Maintain high kitchen cleanliness and operational standards
- Minimise food wastage and optimise kitchen efficiency
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in Korean cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Korean cooking techniques
- Proven leadership and kitchen management experience
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary certification is an advantage
