Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of structural business cases for strategic initiatives within the portfolio with clearly defined objectives and commercialization plans
  • Challenge, validate and ensure rigor in all Vessel Operations Solutions business cases
  • Manage, govern and prioritize strategic initiatives across Vessel Operations Solutions to deliver on its strategic objectives and growth agenda
  • Perform targeted analysis across the portfolio to understand performance trends and challenges - bringing together product and commercial intel
  • Help to monitor the revenue and profitability development of the business on at least a monthly basis and drive improvement initiatives
  • Define measurements for our strategic/value proposition initiatives and establish processes to follow up on the progress
  • Coordinate, manage and drive cross-department projects to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Help to manage the commercial offerings across the portfolio (Mooring, Tank & Hold Cleaning, and Emissions, Fuels and Lubes, Decentralized Manufacturing), supporting with commercial analysis and insights to identify and diagnose problems and establish initiatives to address the issues and drive corrective action.
  • Implement best practices, structures and approaches (structural capital) across the Vessel Operations Solutions portfolio to drive consistency and improve business performance
  • Understand our competitor landscape and follow trends for all businesses in Vessel Operations Solutions (offerings and strategies)
  • Benchmark our offerings vs. comparable businesses including competitors in adjacent industries
  • Work on presentation materials as required to propose changes and drive improvements within the Vessel Operations Solutions businesses
  • Support on developing, tailoring, updating, and communicating the Vessel Operations Solutions Strategy and ensure alignment with WSS strategy
  • Work across a global organization and be a key contributor in the development and realization of the company's growth ambition and strategic improvement agenda solving complex business problems

Health and Safety

  • Participating in risk assessment processes in the workplace
  • Completing required health and safety training and certifications
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
  • Inspecting equipment and the workplace regularly and actively eliminating hazards
  • Reporting accidents, incidents, injuries, near misses, safety risks and issues of non-compliance with health and safety procedures according to internal procedure
  • Developing the safety culture at own workplace and cooperating with others on matters relating to health and safety

.This includes physical as well as psychosocial health and safety

  • Actively obtaining feedback from our customers and industry to improve our business
  • Providing support and guidance to the network/sales organization in the positioning and marketing of the business
  • Leading the standardization and optimization of the commercial processes

Job Specifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent - formal education in Business, Finance or equivalent
  • 3-6 years of experience in Strategy Consulting, Project Management or Commercial functions such as Pricing or Finance
  • Distinguished business understanding, commercial acumen and an instinct for value creation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively within a multinational environment
  • Team player that can structure and drive projects across teams and senior stakeholders
  • Proactive and hands-on in nature
  • Good interpersonal, influencing and networking skills with awareness of global cultural differences
  • Results and process driven, with a high level of responsibility
  • Ability to converse in fluent written and spoken English with various stakeholders
