We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented, experienced Group Accountant/Finance Manager to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing group-level financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple business entities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Finance, Audit & Compliance
Manage daily finance operations and month-end closing processes for Singapore and Malaysia entities.
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, statutory filing, GST, corporate tax, and audit requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial firms, and government authorities.
Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and management responses for annual audits.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Provide financial and management reports for the CEO and leadership team to support business decision-making.
2. Group Finance coordination
Work closely with local finance/accounting teams in Hong Kong, India and Malaysia.
Follow up and ensure timeliness on monthly closing, tax filing, audit requirements, and financial reporting deadlines.
Ensure all entities submit accurate and timely reports to HQ.
Ensure consistency in accounting treatment across different entities.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
Analyze revenue, margin, operating expenses, inventory and project-level performance.
Work with project leads to track financial performance against budget.
Provide insights to management for decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
4. Internal Control & Process Improvement
Monitor and improve internal controls and financial processes
Improve reporting timelines and accuracy across regional finance teams.
Standardize finance templates, reporting formats, and closing procedures across all entities.
Support ERP/accounting system improvements and automation where needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / ACA) is strongly preferred.
At least 8 to 10 years hands on experience managing full set of accounts, finance operations, and statutory compliance. Prior experience in construction industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Strong knowledge in GST, corporate tax support, and audit processes.
Proficiency in Chinese is preferred to support communication with regional or group stakeholders.
