Job Summary
We are seeking a General Manager to lead APAC operations, driving P&L management, strategic business development and operational excellence across our regional manufacturing network.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall P&L performance for APAC/ME regions to achieve effective cash contribution aligned with GAC's EBITDA targets
- Interface with Clariant and Wilmar to identify and develop business opportunities beyond the core Global Amines portfolio
- Collaborate with SCM, Operations, Procurement and Sales teams to execute business strategies and support Group targets
- Partner with the Global Head of Operations to enhance manufacturing site performance in China, Indonesia and Japan
- Ensure high utilisation rates across five manufacturing and tolling sites in the APAC region
- Lead initiatives to optimise product costs, including direct and indirect spend savings, raw material substitutions and logistics cost reductions
- Oversee portfolio optimisation across multiple production sites to maximise operational efficiency
- Lead global tenders for key accounts to secure strategic business wins
- Manage working capital to optimise cash flow and financial health
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 15 years and above of progressive leadership experience in the chemical industry
- Proven expertise in P&L management and business development
- Demonstrated experience in production optimisation and improving capacity utilisation
