Fund Manager

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manager with demonstrable experience in end-to-end fund operations. You will own the end-to-end fund operations process and the respective teams. You will be responsible for building best-in-class infrastructure that inspires investor confidence and ensures the long-term scalability of the fund. Digital assets experience is a bonus but not required - however ability to learn the space quickly is essential.

Our client is a fund which currently employs external providers (fund admin, legal) as well as internal teams to support the functions below. This individual is expected to oversee these teams and ensure each function performs well.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance / Due Diligence / On-Boarding

1. Ensure compliance with BVI FSC regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, internal controls, annual filings).
2. Own the KYC/AML due diligence requirements for service providers
3. Manage ongoing relationships with service providers (custodians, banks, brokers, fund administrators, legal etc)
4. Ensure operational onboarding readiness, including entity formation, bank account openings, and service provider onboarding.
5. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the fund stays current with evolving regulatory requirements.

2. Fund Operations / Process Governance -

1. Oversee team covering all trade lifecycle activities in line with regulations and industry best practices.
2. Monitor and review accuracy of NAV calculations, expense accruals, and transaction reconciliations etc.
3. Oversee finance, accounting, tax, treasury, HR GA teams.
4. Ensure timely preparation of internal / external reports and fund risk metrics, maintaining high-level data integrity in reporting.
5. Draft, update and enforce SOPs (valuation, BCM etc) to improve internal efficiency and mitigate risk exposures.

3. Investor Relations

1. Own the KYC/AML process for investor onboarding
2. Manage the investor lifecycle: subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, reporting and misc inquiries.
3. Maintain CRM database to ensure all investor records are current and compliant.

Key Qualifications:

- 4-6 years of experience in Middle Office / Fund Operations / related role in the financial services or crypto industry

- Experience navigating cross-functional operational requirements, investor lifecycles and institutional regulatory frameworks.

- Experience with futures, equities, options, bonds, swaps, cryptocurrencies or other financial derivatives or products

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage complex service provider relationships and ad-hoc requests from management.

Nice to haves:

- Experience selecting and managing high-tier service providers, including fund administrators, custodians, and prime brokers.

- Deep understanding of digital asset ecosystem and application of institutional operational frameworks

- Proficiency in Python / VBA / SQL
