Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled anddependable Kalmar Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. This rolerequires a professional capable of transitioning seamlessly between heavyvehicle operation and material handling.
You will be responsible for transporting goodssafely across designated routes and managing the loading/unloading processusing a Kalmar Forklift. The ideal candidate is a veteran of the industry witha proven track record of safety, precision, and efficiency in handling heavyloads and navigating complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Kalmar Forklift Handling: Efficiently operate Kalmar forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move heavy containers or oversized cargo.
- Cargo Management: Secure all loads properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct daily pre-operational checks on both the truck and the Kalmar forklift. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery notes, and equipment inspection records.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines and port/warehouse safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of working experience in Kalmar forklift operation.
- Certification: Must possess a valid Forklift Operator License (mandatory).
- Technical Skill: Demonstrated proficiency in operating heavy-duty forklifts (specifically Kalmar or similar large-capacity reach stackers/forklifts).
- Reliability: Excellent attendance record and a disciplined approach to safety.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of cargo securing and extended periods of driving/operating machinery.
