Financial Controller
The Financial Controller leads the Group's finance function, ensuring sound financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective business support. This role provides strategic financial insight, strengthens internal controls, manages liquidity, and drives process enhancement initiatives. The position also plays a key role in organisational growth, finance transformation, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage group consolidation and maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Lead the external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Monitor performance, evaluate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with business units to enhance cost control and financial accountability.
Governance, Controls & Treasury
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Oversee working capital, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management.
- Support treasury activities, including banking and financing arrangements.
Leadership & Transformation
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process optimisation and automation.
- Act as finance lead for cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (Master's advantageous).
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including prior experience as a Financial Controller in SGXlisted companies.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, accounting standards, and performance analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a track record in finance transformation.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience establishing shared services is advantageous.
- Prior experience within the real estate, construction, or related industries is preferred.
