About The Opportunity
A client of Indx is seeking a motivated, hands-on and experienced Finance & Operations Manager to join the team in Singapore. The client has physical operations in the CBD and thus, the role requires to be partly onsite and close collaboration with the operations team.
The ideal candidate has both a strong background in finance & accounting, as well as a willingness to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on and practical where needed.
Accounting and Treasury
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL entries, and bank reconciliations
- Process payments, staff expense claims, vendor invoices, and wire transfers
- Maintain daily cash flow planning and assist with treasury-related activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
Tax, Audit and Regulatory Compliance
- Support preparation of GST filings
- Monitor and document financial controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance
- Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate secretarial obligations
- Perform any other finance and compliance-related duties as assigned
Strategic Finance & FP&A
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for business planning
- Support fundraising activities and due diligence requests where required
Operations and Process Development
- Identify, evaluate, and interact with third-party service providers, banks, and outsourced partners
- Support implementation of finance systems, workflows, and internal policies
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and improve efficiency
- Provide hands-on finance and operational support to physical operations teams
- Partner closely with non-finance teams to improve controls, efficiency, and scalability
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant working experience
- Basic knowledge of Singapore GST and understanding of the requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience handling both finance & operations functions is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, independent work style and a strong team player
