Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Reporting
- Manage full sets of accounts including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of accruals and deferrals
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
2. Inventory & Cost Management (Key Focus)
- Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliation of stock levels
- Track vendor-managed inventory and third-party stock locations
- Monitor and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Identify and explain procurement and operational variances
3. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and internal controls
- Support external audits and prepare required documentation
- Ensure adherence to healthcare-related financial regulations
4. Regulatory & Tax Compliance
- Manage multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (e.g., GST, sales/use tax)
- Ensure alignment with healthcare regulatory frameworks impacting finance
5. Systems & Cross-functional Coordination
- Utilize ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for financial operations
- Act as a key liaison between finance, sales, and supply chain teams
- Improve processes to ensure efficient and accurate financial data flow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (healthcare / medical device / distribution industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, inventory accounting, and compliance
- Advanced Excel skills experience with ERP systems (SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
