Job Description

Job Overview

This is a newly created position established to support the organization's growth and strategic expansion in the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, and battery swapping sectors.

The role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing business opportunities across these areas, driving project origination, strategic partnerships, and commercial growth through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The incumbent will contribute to corporate strategic planning, negotiate commercial agreements, and build strong relationships with regulators, suppliers, customers, and industry partners while staying abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities in EV charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, and battery swapping solutions to support business growth.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy development, business planning, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators, suppliers, service operators, clients, and strategic partners to enhance collaboration and business opportunities.
  • Lead project origination activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop commercially viable project proposals and business cases.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), partnership agreements, and other commercial arrangements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, competitor activities, and emerging EV charging and energy storage technologies to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare business development reports and project updates, and perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a related commercial role within the EV charging, energy, or power sectors.
  • Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, project development lifecycles, and commercial business models.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and market research capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
