Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Executive, Allied Health & Operations (AHO) to support the delivery of operational services within the hospital. This role reports to the Manager, Allied Health & Operations (AHO) and will play an important part in ensuring the smooth functioning of essential services such as food, linen, contract management, and mobility funding.
Responsibilities
- Assist the AHO Manager in maintaining and improving operations systems and processes for services including:
Laundry and linen services
Food services
Purchases of services
Senior Mobility & Enabling Fund (SMF) - Support the development and maintenance of filing systems for current and new services, including pilot projects.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the AHO Manager across services under Allied Health & Operations.
- Manage contracts, monitor expenses and performance satisfaction, and ensure quality and continuous improvement.
- Track expiry and renewal of all service/maintenance contracts, source quotations, and prepare vendor evaluations.
- Oversee inpatient meal processes, food quality, and patient feedback.
- Oversee linen and laundry processes, ensuring sufficient stock and timely curtain changes.
- Work closely with the infection control team to inspect food, linen, and laundry services.
- Assist therapists in SMF applications, mobility device orders, payments, and quarterly claims submission.
- Support pandemic and business continuity plans as part of hospital-wide emergency response.
- Act as Emergency Warden, being physically able to manage fire extinguishers, handle emergencies, and remain calm under pressure.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives/projects.
- Track expiry and renewal of licenses and accreditations support audits and inspections.
- Undertake other responsibilities as delegated, including service expansion and new project development.
Requirements
- A general degree or equivalent from a recognised institution (healthcare-related qualification is an advantage).
- At least 3 years experience in a similar capacity, preferably in healthcare operations.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and service processes.
- Strong initiative, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Adequate IT knowledge to support operations in an electronic records environment.
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and engage with external partners.
