Job Description

BI Testing Solutions is supporting a global leader in specialised pharmaceutical packaging and leak detection technologies in establishing its technical presence in Asia.

This role will act as the primary technical lead for engineering and customer support activities across the APAC region, supporting highly specialised equipment used in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing environments. The position requires deep technical expertise, strong customer-facing experience, and the ability to operate independently across multiple markets. Role requires familiarity with proprietary equipment and processes developed within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead installation, commissioning, validation (IQ/OQ) and optimisation of non-destructive leak testing and container closure integrity testing equipment in pharmaceutical environments
- Develop product-specific test parameters and validation methods for customer applications
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT)with international customers
- Provide on-site training and technical knowledge transfer to customer teams
- Act as primary technical expert for proprietary equipment in the APAC region
- Support feasibility testing and produce customer-specific validation reports
- Provide advanced technical support for pre-sales and post-sales activities across the APAC region
- Manage and prioritise customer support requests and coordinate resolution with global support teams
- Support commercial teams in identifying technical upsell opportunities
- Act as the primary technical lead for APAC operations without formal line management responsibility
- Travel extensively across Asia to support customer installations and service requirements

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within regulated industries
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning and validation of specialised laboratory or industrial equipment
- Direct experience working with non-destructive testing or container closure integrity testing systems or similar precision equipment
- Experience supporting international customers across multiple markets
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a regional role with high travel requirements
- Experience conducting customer-facing technical activities including FAT, SAT and training
- Strong background in CAD design and tooling development for customer-specific applications

Preferred Skills

-Experience in pharmaceutical packaging or medical device environments
- Experience working between headquarters in Europe or UK and regional markets
- Experience training or mentoring junior engineers
- Familiarity with GMP environments and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
