Job Description

Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations Management

  • Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflows and resolve operational issues.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Equipment Qualification and Maintenance

  • Execute and document laboratory equipment qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) in compliance with GxP and GMP standards.
  • Plan and carry out routine calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with vendors for advanced technical support when required.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure all laboratory operations and equipment comply with regulatory requirements, including GxP, GMP, and relevant pharmaceutical standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for equipment qualification, maintenance, and operational activities.
  • Support audits and inspections by preparing documentation and addressing compliance-related queries.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, operations, and systems.
  • Support the implementation of new laboratory technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Training and Support

  • Train laboratory staff on equipment usage, qualification procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance to ensure high standards of quality and compliance.

Regulatory Support

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to laboratory activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in laboratory operations within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of GxP, GMP, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in laboratory instruments and systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
