Lead Utilities Excellence program for the plan and execute plant wide energy improvement projects which includes RCE preparation and submission.
Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.
Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use, costs, or conservation measures.
Perform energy modeling, measurement, verification, commissioning
Conduct onsite observations, field inspections, or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyses.
Inspect or monitor energy systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or daylighting systems to determine energy use or potential energy savings.
Evaluate construction design information such as detail and assembly drawings, design calculations, system layouts and sketches, or specifications.
Prepare project reports and other program or technical documentation.
Review or negotiate energy purchase agreements.
Conduct research or collect data on renewable or alternative energy systems and assess feasibility for site implementation.
Main Responsibilities
Establish multi-discipline site energy team to drive success of site energy management program and ISO 50001.
Organize and lead weekly and monthly site energy team meetings.
Understand site energy budget (cost and volumes), track and report regularly on energy usage and cost.
Ensure that energy performance goals are established for the site through ENMS system.
Take charge as SME in energy metering management.
Regularly communicate to the site leadership and site population on energy program goals and progress against those goals.
Conduct or organize site energy assessments or energy scan to identify conservation opportunities on a periodic basis.
Oversee & prioritize energy related opportunities through to completion.
Engage the site energy team and other tools to raise awareness of conservation & usage at the site.
Participate in development of energy procurement strategy, maintaining familiarity with the key aspects of the site's supply side management.
Participate in telecons/ meeting with other sites in the region/ network to share energy conservation success stories.
Train personnel or clients on topics such as energy management.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Engineering Degree majoring in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Chemical, Environmental or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 5 years of experience.
Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification preferred
Water Efficiency Manager certification preferred.
Experience / Background
Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Ability to organize, motivate and develop team members.
