Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for the design, development, test, implementation and post-implementation maintenance of the company's data warehouse and analytics projects to deliver high value and actionable insights to aid stakeholders decision making to improve businesses.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Create value through developing data analytics solutions that supports the company's global objectives as well as internal business requirements
  • Proactively work with internal stakeholders to solicit data requirements to support business needs
  • Study complicate problems, provide source-to-target mappings and information specification documents for data sets
  • Perform data preparation of datasets that fulfils the project requirements
  • Work with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement appropriate data stores like databases, data warehouse and/or data lake to store data efficiently, keep the data up-to-date and serviceable for external systems or end-users to query
  • Utilise statistical tools to interpret complex data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
  • Analyse and recommend specific types of data that can be used to derive features and rule-based approach for business applications
  • Develop, create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis and visualization implement
  • Design and maintain data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems
  • Perform complete life cycle data generation and translate data that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions into critical and coherent information for executive leadership
  • Support system testing and evaluation activities including onsite acceptance testing to validate and improve the models and algorithms.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have an analytical mind, attention to details for large datasets, and inclination for problem-solving
  • Able to generate comprehensive technical writings including queries, reports and presentations
  • Programming skills in at least one statistical programming language preferably Python, knowledge in Statistics and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in one of the visualization tools, preferably Qlik, or any other relevant analytic tools
  • Practical experience with the use of statistical packages including SQL, XML, Javascript, with the ability to learn others to analyse data and generate useful reports, is an advantage
  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with the wider business and functional groups
