Responsibility& Authority:
- Act as the primary advisor to Senior Management on all workplace safety, health, and environmental matters, including risk exposure and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee and lead all EHS functions across multiple projects, ensuring consistent compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate safety standards.
- Administer and implement the company EHS related procedures and ensure that the management system is updated.
- Provide advisory support to Project Managers on all EHS matters such as legal requirements and Company's EHS related procedures.
- Conduct surprise checks on projects to ensure that EHS risks are addressed.
- Direct and review all incident investigations ensuring root cause analysis is robust and provide advised on the remedial measures across project, including to consolidate and analyses data on summons, accident or near misses and work on the improvement plans.
- Organize EHS programs and activities to promote safe and healthy conduct of workers and to promote safety awareness to all personnel attached to the worksite.
- Act as a liaison officer when dealing with Government Agencies and Accreditation Bodies.
- Review subcontractor's safety performance and provide advice on improvement plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders on all safety and compliance matters.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental, Safety, or related discipline.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) (or equivalent professional certifications).
- Minimum 10years of relevant Local EHS Manager experience
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- May required to full-time station at Project as when necessary
