Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Environment & Employee Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the EHS team by ensuring the effective implementation and management of MSD and Sodexo Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, while maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements, corporate EHS policies, and industry best practices within the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) organization at the MSD Manufacturing Site.

Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, with a dotted line to the Site Lead, the individual will contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of EHS frameworks, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional dedicated to fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
This is an on-site position based in Tuas, Singapore.

Job Scope:

. Support in reviewing, implementing and complying with the Sodexo Singapore, Sodexo Group safety

policies and local regulations and/or requirements within our Facility and Clients Site

. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and systems

aligned with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HSA Singapore,

OSHA, GMP-related safety standards ISO2200, ISO9001).

. Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and corporate EHS standards, including

waste management, chemical handling, and occupational health.

. Assist in conducting regular EHS inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure

corrective actions are implemented promptly.

. Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures specific to pharmaceutical

manufacturing processes and materials.

. Support incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.

. Promote a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement in safety and environmental

performance.

. Raise awareness and engage employees at all levels to foster a strong safety culture and environmental

responsibility within IFM team and Client site.

. Work closely with IFM facilities teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations and project

planning.

. Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees to ensure adherence to EHS standards and

best practices.

. Assist in managing contractor safety and compliance on-site.

. Maintain a visible and active presence on the manufacturing floor to observe operations, identify potential

hazards, and provide immediate support on EHS matters.

. Participate in emergency preparedness and response/environmental drills.

. To assume other duties as may be assigned.
