Job Description

Experience
EHS Engineer (WHS Coordinator) to support Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS/WSH) management for construction projects in Singapore. The role is responsible for implementing site safety programs, ensuring compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, and supporting a safe working environment.

Years of Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in EHS / WSH roles within construction or engineering projects (mandatory).

Licenses
Candidates shall possess qualifications and licenses in compliance with applicable local regulations and authority requirements.
Possession of a valid (within validity period) WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) or an equivalent qualification.

Others
1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related disciplines.

2. Language Requirements: Proficient in both English and Chinese ability to communicate in Taiwanese or an additional language is an advantage.

3.Familiar with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and requirements.

4. Qualifications such as HRA Safety Assessor and First Aider are preferred.

5. Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.

6. Able to communicate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, Clients, and authorities.

7 Able to work independently on site and proactively manage EHS matters in a project environment.

Responsibilities
1. Carry out routine site inspections, safety checks, and monitoring of construction activities, assist the project team in identifying unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices at the worksite, and support the implementation of reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or reduce identified occupational safety and health risks, in order to ensure compliance with applicable safety and health requirements.

2. Participate in WSH compliance inspections, audits, and site coordination meetings, and support follow-up actions as required.

3. Support the investigation of incidents, accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences, including tracking and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.

4. Collect, compile, maintain, and update WSH records and reports, including inspection records, incident reports, training records, and safety performance data.

5. Conduct or assist in safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for workers, subcontractors, and site personnel.

6. Support the implementation of WSH programmes, emergency preparedness arrangements, and emergency response drills.

7. Advise site supervisors and workers on applicable WSH requirements, safe work procedures (SWP), risk assessments (RA), and proper work practices.

8. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety measures and report unresolved or outstanding safety issues to site management for action.

9. Assist in verifying that site personnel hold the required work qualifications and are in compliance with local government statutory and regulatory requirements.

10. Perform other WSH-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager / WSH Officer to support overall site safety performance.
