ACT 3 Drama Academy is looking for a committed Drama Educator to teach drama programmes to children across different age groups.
You will deliver lessons based on our syllabus, teaching methods, and approved materials. You will work with children in a way that is clear, respectful, imaginative, and age-appropriate.
We are looking for someone who is confident in the classroom, well-prepared, responsible, and able to create drama lessons that help children participate, express themselves, and grow in confidence.
Experience teaching young children or working in early childhood settings is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Facilitation
Deliver engaging drama lessons across different age groups, using ACT 3 Drama Academy's syllabus, teaching methods, and approved materials.
Child Development and Engagement
Create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment where children participate, listen, collaborate, express themselves, and build confidence.
Lesson Preparation and Programme Delivery
Prepare lessons thoughtfully, adapt activities to suit the age and needs of each class, and support rehearsals, presentations, trial lessons, workshops, and performances when required.
Professional Communication
Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, teachers, schools, colleagues, and the Academy team.
Academy Support
Contribute to programme preparation, training, meetings, creative work, and other academy duties during non-teaching hours.
Requirements
. Experience in drama, theatre, education, or related fields
. Able to teach children across a range of age groups
. Early childhood experience is an advantage
. Strong classroom presence and classroom management skills
. Clear spoken communication
. Responsible, punctual, and well-prepared
. Able to work within ACT 3 Drama Academy's syllabus and teaching approach
Covering lessons for absent colleagues..
Attend all meetings and workshops when requested..
Commitment to participate in any other duties and responsibilities requested by the Academy from time to time.
