Job Summary
The Director will be responsible for leading the company's strategic direction, business development, and overall operations within the media and marketing communications landscape. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in integrated communications, content development, and stakeholder engagement.
The Director will oversee the planning and execution of high-impact projects, manage key partnerships, and ensure the delivery of creative and commercially successful initiatives across multiple platforms and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
1.Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the company's long-term vision and strategic initiatives.
- Identify growth opportunities and expand the company's presence across relevant markets.
- Drive innovation in content, media engagement, and audience outreach strategies.
2.Business Development & Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead business development efforts, including pitching, negotiations, and partnership development.
- Provide strategic advisory to clients on branding, communications, and audience engagement.
3.Project & Content Oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand positioning.
- Guide the development of creative concepts, messaging frameworks, and content strategies.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness across all deliverables and communication channels.
4.Stakeholder & Talent Coordination
- Manage and coordinate with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and representatives.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engagements, appearances, and collaborative initiatives.
- Ensure smooth coordination, scheduling, and delivery of all project components.
5.Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Establish efficient processes and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
6.Financial & Performance Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and financial parameters.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
7.Industry Insight & Representation
- Stay abreast of industry trends in media, communications, and content development.
- Represent the company in industry engagements, networking events, and business forums.
- Enhance the company's reputation and positioning within the industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media Studies, Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in media, marketing communications, or related industries.
- Proven experience in integrated communications, content strategy, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and partnership management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital media environments.
- Ability to communicate and write in Chinese is an added advantage, as the role involves liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and reviewing Chinese-language materials.
