The Director of Information Technology will lead the strategic and operational development of the company's IT infrastructure, driving scalable solutions to support rapid growth. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on execution, including the implementation and administration of key platforms, migration to secure cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS), and customization of systems, such as document management systems, including coding when necessary. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a startup mindset, capable of balancing high-level strategy with hands-on technical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Assess and prioritize IT needs across growth, and scaling stages, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams to support business goals.
- Lead the implementation and customization of ERP, CRM modules to optimize business processes.
- Oversee selection, onboarding, configuration, and ongoing administrationof platforms.
- Ensure seamless integration and user adoption of platforms, providing training and support as needed.
- Plan and execute the migration of IT infrastructure to secure, scalable cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Design and maintain cloud architecture to ensurehigh availability, security, and performance.
- Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
- Lead the design and development of customized systems tailored to the startup's needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable document management tools.
- Build and mentor a lean IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to support IT initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT tools and services.
- Ensure IT policies, procedures, and controls meet regulatory and audit requirements.
- Lead risk management efforts related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a startup environment.
- Proven expertise in implementing and customizing ERP/CRM modules and administering existing platforms
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, including migration, security, and management.
- Hands-on experience with IT system administration, network setup, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment, with a willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to evolving needs.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) relevant to the Company's industry.
- Background in developing or integrating APIs for seamless platform connectivity.
