Director Marketing Operations

About the Role

This role is a strategic and operational partner to the VP of Marketing, responsible for driving planning rigor, operational and analytics excellence, and crossfunctional alignment across the marketing organization. This role ensures marketing strategy is translated into measurable execution through strong performance management, datadriven insights, and operational discipline to ensure initiatives are delivered with impact.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally strong, and comfortable working across marketing and sales to optimize performance and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning & Performance Analytics

  • Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, KPI definition, and prioritization
  • Define and own marketing performance frameworks, dashboards, and reporting cadence
  • Analyze campaign, funnel, and pipeline performance to deliver actionable insights

Marketing Operations & Analytics

  • Own the marketing budget to ensure adherence, including tracking, forecasting, and ROI analysis
  • Establish scalable processes for performance measurement, attribution, and reporting
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through deep analysis of marketing data
  • Improve workflows, operating cadence, and data quality to support decisionmaking at scale
  • Introduce AI tools to increase marketing efficiency.

Execution & CrossFunctional Alignment

  • Drive crossfunctional initiatives across marketing, sales, and product
  • Partner closely with sales operations to align funnel definitions, metrics, and handoffs
  • Ensure gotomarket plans are supported by clear metrics, timelines, and accountability
  • Act as a central point of coordination for complex, highimpact programs

Executive Reporting & Communications

  • Prepare performance readouts, insights, and materials for executive meetings and QBRs
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise narratives for senior stakeholders
  • Support leadership with databacked recommendations and decision support

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing analytics, strategy, or business operations preferably with field marketing experience
  • Proven experience driving strategic planning, KPI management, and performance reporting
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, gotomarket motions, and revenue alignment
  • Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills; comfortable working with data and ambiguity
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across functions without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
