Director, Head of Private Markets Asia
Key Duties
- Drive the regional sales strategy for private markets products, shaping and executing go-to-market plans across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities to deliver sustainable revenue growth in FX and IR solutions.
- Build and strengthen senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted partner to C-suite stakeholders and high-value accounts.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear standards and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Partner with global and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives and exceptional client experiences.
- Provide accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting to executive leadership, ensuring strong commercial discipline.
- Maintain high standards of governance across all regional sales activities, adhering to relevant market regulations and company policies.
- Monitor market trends, client behaviours, and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and refine sales positioning.
Skills Required
- Proven expertise in private markets, FX, and/or interest rate (IR) solutions with a strong understanding of APAC financial markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies and drive revenue growth.
- Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence C-suite and senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with experience building and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Commercial acumen with competency in forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Sound knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and governance requirements.
- Strategic thinking and market awareness, with the ability to identify trends and translate them into actionable sales positioning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Education
A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is advantageous however, relevant work experience is equally valued and may substitute formal qualifications.
