Johnson Electric is seeking an experienced and dynamic Facility Director to oversee the facility management operations of multiple plants and offices across Asia. This critical role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, strategic alignment, and facility readiness to support our business expansion in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Oversee facility operations management across Asia, including greenfield construction projects in multiple locations. Ensure all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
- Plant ESG Support: Lead ESG-focused energy-saving and environmental initiatives across Asia, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability goals. Implement digital solutions for real-time monitoring and management of critical machinery and environmental controls to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
- Supplier Management: Oversee facility supplier management for repair and maintenance (R&M) and construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Regional Oversight: Manage more than 10 sites across Asia, including multiple plants and offices in China, Hong Kong, India, and Korea. Ensure consistent facility management practices that adhere to company standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop regional facility management teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Alignment: Align facility management strategies and roadmaps with business expansion plans to ensure infrastructure supports current and future needs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets. Drive cost-effective management practices while meeting business goals.
- Technical Expertise: Apply strong technical expertise to assess, plan, and implement best practices and innovative solutions for building systems and operations.

Technical Requirements:
- Facility Management Expertise: Extensive experience in facility infrastructure and civil systems management in manufacturing or industrial environment, including greenfield construction project delivery.
- Technical Acumen: Strong technical background with knowledge of building systems, construction processes, maintenance programs and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting Skills: Proven ability to develop, manage, and optimize significant facility budgets.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills and track record of delivering construction and renovation projects from conception to completion.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regional regulations, codes and compliance standards across Asia.
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facility management, plus at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
- Experience managing facilities across multiple countries in Asia is preferred.
