Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Deputy Engineering Manager(Project Controls) to serve as the strategic backbone of our engineering execution. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the sophisticated planning, monitoring, and financial/temporal control of all engineering activities for large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects. Your primary mission is to ensure that complex engineering workflows translate into timely,on-budget project delivery through rigorous data analysis and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning Support: Drive the development and maintenance of integrated engineering schedules, ensuring all activities align with the broader project master plan.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track engineering deliverables, criticalmilestones, and resource loading effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Interface: Act as the primary liaisonbetween Engineering and Project Management/Planning teams to synchronizeprogress, manage change orders, and develop robust recovery plans.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Lead the preparation of comprehensive engineering progress reports, providing accurate forecasts, variance analyses, and productivity trends to senior leadership.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential schedule bottlenecks and technical risks early in the project lifecycle, proposing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Systems Alignment: Ensure that all engineering output and data structures remain fully compliant with corporate project control requirements and international EPC standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors, with a proven track record in engineering project controls and planning.
  • Deep architectural understanding of EPC engineering lifecycles, inter-disciplinary dependencies, and advanced planning principles.
  • Exceptional ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable project insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating high-pressure environments andmulti-disciplinary teams.
