About Our Client
Our client is a leading regional financial institution undergoing a large-scale enterprise transformation to embed Artificial Intelligence across its business, operations, customer experience, and decision-making capabilities.
As part of its next phase of growth, the organization is seeking a Director, AI Transformation Lead to drive the strategic adoption, governance, and implementation of AI initiatives across the enterprise. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with C-suite executives, business leaders, technology teams, and governance committees to identify opportunities, shape AI strategy, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Reporting to the COO, this role sits at the intersection of business transformation, digital innovation, change management, governance, and AI enablement, making it ideal for candidates with a hybrid blend of commercial, operational, technology, and stakeholder management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives aligned to business strategy and growth objectives
• Partner with senior business leaders to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI use cases across customer, operations, risk, finance, and support functions
• Establish and drive AI governance frameworks, operating models, risk controls, and responsible AI practices across the organization
• Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Committees, Transformation Steering Committees, and C-suite stakeholders on AI strategy, opportunities, risks, and adoption roadmaps
• Drive organization-wide change management and business readiness programmes to support successful AI implementation and workforce transformation
• Translate emerging AI capabilities, technologies, and market developments into practical business applications and strategic opportunities
• Define success metrics, KPIs, and value realization frameworks to measure the commercial impact and effectiveness of AI initiatives
• Partner closely with Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure scalable and compliant deployment of AI solutions
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement across business functions
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive market practices relating to AI, digital transformation, and future-of-work strategies
Requirements
• 12+ years of experience across Digital Transformation, Business Transformation, Strategy, Innovation, Consulting, Operations, Change Management, or Technology-enabled transformation programmes
• Proven track record leading large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives with measurable business outcomes
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, automation, data-driven decision making, and emerging technology trends
• Experience engaging and influencing senior executives, board-level stakeholders, and cross-functional leadership teams
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management, regulatory considerations, and organizational change methodologies
• Ability to bridge business strategy and technology implementation, translating concepts into actionable execution plans
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align transformation programmes to business KPIs, productivity outcomes, customer experience, and revenue objectives
• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Consulting, or large complex organizations would be advantageous
• Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive organizational adoption of emerging technologies
