Job Description

Deputy General Manager - Finance

The Deputy General Manager - Finance provides strategic financial leadership across the CULINES Group, overseeing global finance operations, financial planning, and governance. The role partners closely with senior management and business leaders to drive financial performance, strengthen financial controls, and support the company's long-term growth and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic financial leadership across the Group, aligning financial management with corporate strategy and supporting senior management in achieving sustainable growth and profitability.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

  • Lead the Group's financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Provide timely financial insights, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations to support business decision-making.

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee Group accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies while maintaining strong financial governance and internal controls.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and standardization across global operations.
  • Support strategic finance initiatives and transformation projects.
  • Develop SOPs and Policies

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the global finance team while fostering strong collaboration with business leaders and regional offices.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to senior management, providing financial guidance and supporting key business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Accounting or related discipline professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, with exposure to regional or global finance operations.
  • Experience in the container shipping or logistics industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and global environment.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts and customers.
