Established coffee manufacturing company with more than 60 years of history and about 25% market share in Singapore. We have invested close to SGD 8 million in a modern automated production facility and operate in a stable long term manufacturing environment.

We are seeking a finance professional who values stability and is interested in developing into a finance leadership role within a manufacturing business.

Role Summary

Hands on Assistant Finance Manager role supporting the Finance Head and supervising a team of 4 accounting staff.

This is a working manager role requiring direct involvement in accounting operations, ownership of month end closing and involvement in inventory and manufacturing finance activities.

Opportunity to progress to Finance Manager based on performance and commitment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance responsibilities:

. Oversee full set accounts

. Hands on involvement in accounting operations

. Personally responsible for month end closing

. Review accounting work prepared by team

. Supervise accounting staff

. Ensure GST compliance

. Liaise with auditors and tax agents

. Support cash flow monitoring

. Maintain internal controls

Manufacturing finance responsibilities:

. Monitor inventory movement and valuation

. Ensure inventory controls and stock accuracy

. Oversee stock reconciliation and stock take

. Work closely with operations and warehouse teams

. Ensure inventory costing accuracy

. Support management in monitoring product cost and margins

. Ensure accuracy of inventory related accounting entries

Requirements

. Recognised Bachelor Degree

. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

. Candidates with other degrees but holding professional accounting qualifications such as
ACCA, CPA or CIMA will also be considered

. Comfortable working in hands on SME environment

. Experience supervising staff

. Minimum 5 to 10 years full set accounting experience

. Experience in manufacturing or inventory environment preferred

. Experience in inventory control or costing is an advantage

. Stable employment history preferred

Working Hours

5 day work week

Monday to Thursday:

8.00 am to 6.00 pm with 1 hour lunch break

Friday:

8.00 am to 5.00 pm with 1 hour lunch break

Additional working hours and occasional Saturday work may be required during peak month end closing periods. Time off in lieu will be provided accordingly.

Salary

SGD 4000 to 4800 depending on experience
