Job Description
Consolidation & New BU Setup
- Lead consolidation for the business unit, including preparing subgroup consolidation and supporting overall group consolidation with accurate elimination entries.
- Drive the establishment of finance processes for a newly formed BU, including regional reporting standards, operational workflows, and internal control frameworks.
- Set up new finance structures across different markets to ensure alignment as the BU expands.
Financial Reporting
- Oversee monthly closing activities for Singapore entities and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including performance analysis and variance insights.
Financial Operations
- Manage daytoday HQ finance activities, including accounts payable, bank matters, fixed asset register, and GST/withholding tax submissions.
- Prepare intercompany invoices, monitor balances, and perform reconciliations.
- Develop settlement proposals (e.g., netting, offsetting, cash settlements) and monitor intercompany loan exposures.
- Provide operational finance support to the BU and coordinate with regional and group finance teams.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the annual budget cycle and analyse performance against budgeted targets.
Audit & Tax Compliance
- Lead all compliancerelated matters such as statutory audits, corporate tax filings, GST, and withholding tax requirements.
- Liaise with auditors and tax agents to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with BU operations, HQ finance, and group entities to gather data and ensure seamless reporting processes.
Process & Systems Improvement
- Support ERP implementation projects, including system testing, data migration, and aligning new workflows to BU requirements.
- Strengthen documentation, internal controls, and reporting processes.
External Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners for all matters related to assigned entities and the BU.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA is a plus.
- Prior experience in setting up new BU regionally.
- Ability to drive processes and liaise with stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders regionally.
- Prior experience in audit is a plus.
