Customer Quality Engineer (Electronics / SMT / PCB Assembly)
Our client, a reputable electronics manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Customer Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality and customer support team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving technical issues, working closely with customers, and driving product quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to customer quality feedback, ensuring issues are investigated and resolved effectively.
- Conduct structured root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA, and prepare reports for customer review.
- Act as the key technical liaison between customers and internal teams on quality-related matters.
- Analyze and troubleshoot SMT and PCB assembly processes, including solder printing, component placement, reflow soldering, and defect analysis.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor product quality performance, including complaint trends, production yield, and field returns.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and support customer audits when required.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS industry.
- Strong technical knowledge in SMT processes, PCB assembly, and reflow soldering.
- Experience managing customer communication and handling quality escalations, preferably with international clients.
