Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this person will help design, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework while managing regulatory engagements across jurisdictions. The role requires a proactive professional with strong knowledge of Singapore's financial regulatory landscape and experience in capital market or payment services institutions. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, providing sound regulatory guidance, anticipating compliance risks, and enabling the business to grow responsibly in a complex cross-border fintech environment.
Job Description
- Support Head of Compliance, Singapore to establish and implement a robust compliance program to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies;
- Responsible for handling submissions, regulatory enquiries, audits and maintain good working relationship with the regulatory authorities, including coordination for any regulator's on-site inspection, if required;
- Lead and support applications for, and continuing maintenance of, financial institutions that hold capital market services license, payment services license and other similar business licenses in jurisdictions where Ant International conducts its international businesses;
- Provide sound advice and recommendations to relevant stakeholders on matters pertaining to regulatory and licensing issues for the financial institutions that hold capital market services license or payment license;
- Identify and manage compliance and regulatory risks, act as a point of escalation for any policy and regulatory breaches to senior management;
- Help formulate, review and maintain compliance framework, policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
- Conduct periodic internal compliance trainings and compliance risk assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance; or equivalent work experience;
- 7 - 12 years of relevant regulatory or similar experience;
- Strong regulatory/compliance knowledge and skills;
- Knowledge of capital market services licensed institutions, payment licensed institutions, and similar legal and regulatory requirements in Singapore;
- Team player and ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Strong command of spoken and written English;
- Experience in liaising with Singapore regulators preferred;
- Experience with e-commerce, banking, payments or financial services preferred.
