Responsible for managing the end-to-end processes to ensure compliance with MAS OTC Derivatives Reporting requirements
Overseeing and supporting Business Units (BU) derivatives trading in the APAC offices
Keeping up to date with derivatives trading rules in the APAC, EMEA and Americas region
Developing and maintaining risk-based compliance policies for APAC, EMEA and Americas markets, including practical implementation of systems, controls and monitoring
Implementation of regulatory changes (e.g. regulatory reporting, position limits, changes in licensing exemption requirements, etc.) in collaboration with global MCO team
Advising the APAC BUs on regulatory matters and approving new products/new business/cross border marketing activities
Developing and maintaining trade surveillance program for derivatives trading across various jurisdictions (US/Europe) and exchanges
Conducting compliance review/ audits in concert with other departments
Training management and staff on compliance matters and policies
Managing global compliance operations (monitoring and reporting across Americas, Europe and Asia) in collaboration with 3rd party service providers
Representing MCO to face internal BU clients, external regulatory bodies (e.g. MAS) and industry associations (e.g. FIA, DTCC, ISDA) located in APAC
Supporting the CCO in any ad hoc projects or administrative functions
Requirements:
Degree in Finance or relevant discipline
6-10 years experience in a similar role, ideally a commodity trading business or in the commodity business of a financial institution
Strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives and OTC derivatives is essential
Excellent track record in financial services, knowledge of the commodity trading business and regulated exchanges (e.g., SICOM, CME, ICE US/Europe, BMD, DCE, ZCE, SHFE, TOCOM)
Strong team player with ability to work independently and make astute decisions
Exceptional communication (verbal and written), stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
