Job Summary
The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, developing, and securing new customer accounts. This role focuses on hunting for new opportunities, expanding market presence, and achieving sales targets through proactive business development activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Proactively source and develop new named accounts through networking, cold calling, and lead generation activities
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support commercial strategies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and responsive service
- Negotiate commercial agreements and prepare proposals/contracts within approved guidelines
- Generate and analyse sales reports to support performance tracking and decision-making
- Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial activities with operational objectives
- Provide market insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and business growth
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Commercial Sales Manager or in a similar sales role
- Proven track record in hunting and securing new business opportunities
- Prior experience in commercial sales within the IT infrastructure industry is a plus
- Good understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused
- Good verbal and written communication skills
