Chief of Staff - Reinsurance Solutions, Asia Pacific

The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a strategic and operational leader who partners closely with the executive team and the Global Reinsurance Solutions Strategy and Execution team to drive organisational effectiveness, streamline operations, and ensure alignment across key initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor and execution partner, this role enables the executive leader to focus on high-impact priorities by managing business rhythms, leading cross-functional projects, and optimising internal processes.

The CoS serves as a central point of coordination, communication, and strategic planning, ensuring that the solution line runs smoothly and efficiently.

What the day will look like

Strategic Leadership & Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the APAC Reinsurance CEO and leadership team, influencing key decisions and business strategy.
  • Lead and deliver high-profile projects, including culture transformation and integration of APAC and global initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of multi-year strategies supporting growth, margin, market share, colleague engagement, and client experience.

Operational Leadership

  • Influence and partner with country leaders to drive operational efficiency, consistency, and excellence across the business.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks implement scalable processes and systems.
  • Manage business rhythms including leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, and planning cycles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with leaders across Analytics, Tech, Ops, Finance, Communications and Marketing, and other solution lines to drive regional priorities and alignment.
  • Coordinate with other Chiefs of Staff and leadership teams across Aon APAC for effective collaboration and synergy.

Talent & Culture Champion

  • In partnership with HR and Segment leaders, manage the APAC talent agenda, including development planning, succession planning, and sponsorship.
  • Sponsor and support Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) initiatives, ensuring alignment with Reinsurance Solutions culture goals.

Executive Support & Communication

  • Manage preparation for executive and leadership team meetings, including agenda setting, content coordination, and follow-up execution.
  • Develop and steer approval of investment business cases, ensuring initiatives are ambitious yet achievable.
  • Lead large-scale communications plans for colleagues, clients, reinsurers, and industry bodies.

External Engagement

  • Represent Reinsurance Solutions in client, reinsurer, government, and industry body engagements.
  • Develop materials and messaging for meetings, panels, press interviews, and external communications.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven experience partnering with senior executives to drive the timely execution of strategic priorities, translating vision and direction into actionable plans, governance rhythms, and clear success metrics.
  • Demonstrated capability to enhance executive team productivity, alignment, and decisionmaking, including managing priorities, preparing highquality executive materials, and facilitating effective leadership forums and cadence.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to engage, influence, and align leaders across the organisation while maintaining strong external and internal relationships.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking, analytical, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to move seamlessly between bigpicture strategy and detailed execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience synthesising complex information into clear, concise, executivelevel messaging.
  • High degree of judgement, discretion, and integrity, with experience handling sensitive information and operating as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
