Job Description

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing fintech platform in the consumer credit and payments space, is seeking a Head of Capital Markets to lead and scale its global debt financing strategy. This role is critical in securing diversified funding sources to support the expansion of its credit card and lending business.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across structured finance, corporate finance, and global banking relationships, with a proven track record in executing complex financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the end-to-end debt financing strategy, including structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • Develop and manage relationships with global banks, institutional investors, and funding partners
  • Design and execute structured finance transactions, including ABS (Asset-Backed Securities) and other securitization programs
  • Drive funding diversification across warehouse facilities, term securitizations, and bilateral/multilateral credit lines
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders (risk, finance, product) to align funding strategy with business growth and portfolio performance
  • Optimize capital structure and funding costs to enhance ROA/ROE and balance sheet efficiency
  • Monitor global capital markets conditions and proactively identify funding opportunities and risks
  • Lead and build a high-performing capital markets team (if applicable)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in capital markets, structured finance, or corporate finance
  • Strong background in global banks or leading financial institutions
  • Proven hands-on experience in structured finance and securitization, especially ABS
  • Prior exposure to consumer finance / credit card / unsecured lending is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of executing complex debt financing transactions across multiple markets
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, credit risk, and funding structures
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required
