Chemist (Polymer / Anti-Corrosion Coatings)

• 5 days per week - 8AM-5PM

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, formulate, and improve polymer-based anti-corrosion and anti-rust products

• Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate product performance (e.g. adhesion, durability, corrosion resistance)

• Perform testing and analysis, including physical and chemical evaluations of raw materials and finished products

• Support scale-up activities from lab to production, ensuring consistency and quality

• Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and SOPs

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with sales/technical teams to provide product support and customized solutions to customers

• Research new materials and technologies in Polymer Chemistry and Corrosion Inhibition

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field

• At least 3 years of experience in polymer, coatings, or chemical formulation is preferred

• Candidates with exposure to anti-corrosion or industrial coatings will have an advantage

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a lab environment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• Willing to travel regularly to Malaysia (R&D and production facility located there)
