Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs the incoming inspection, sub-assembly, testing and troubleshooting of optical/mechanical components and sub-systems

  • Performs integration of the sub-systems, optical alignment, testing and troubleshooting of the whole system

  • May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.

  • Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.

  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

  • Keep the equipment, toolings and materials in order. Maintain the 5S standard in workplace.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / related Engineering.

  • Previous hands-on experience with GCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) equipment will be advantageous.

  • Ability to read technical drawings/procedures and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical parts assembly, optics handling or optical alignment will be advantageous.

  • Attention to detail skills is required.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills is a plus.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve technical problems, set up experiments, and perform data analysis.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and people skills are required.

  • Able to work with lasers.

  • Comfortable working in shifts and cleanroom environment

Minimum Qualifications

Technical School or work experience of 1 years
