Job Description

Responsibility:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Indonesian Cuisine Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate must be skilled in preparing authentic Indonesian dishes, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

  • Prepare and cook authentic Indonesian cuisine according to company recipes and standards.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all dishes served.
  • Assist in planning menus and introducing new Indonesian dishes or seasonal specials.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels, ensuring proper storage and minimizing wastage.
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepared and stored according to operational requirements.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff on food preparation methods, kitchen procedures, and safety standards.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all kitchen tools and appliances.
  • Work closely with management to improve food quality, kitchen efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
  • Need to work on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays, and overtime when required.
  • Able to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Working Location: Orchard

Requirement:

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Indonesian cuisine is required for this position.
  • Must possess at least Higher Education / Diploma in any field.
  • Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English is preferred to liaise with Indonesian-speaking kitchen staff and management.
  • Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Responsible, disciplined, and committed to maintaining high food quality standards.
  • Good time management and attention to detail.
