Civil Engineering & Construction
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Business Development Manager to expand our business opportunities and strengthen our network within Singapore's civil engineering and construction industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for actively developing new business opportunities, building industry relationships, identifying potential projects, and securing work for the Company.
Actively network and develop business relationships with main contractors, subcontractors, developers, consultants, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential projects.
Generate leads, arrange meetings, conduct site visits, and follow up with prospective clients.
Promote the Company's civil engineering capabilities, particularly in:
Drainage and sewer works
Road and pavement works
Road demolition and reinstatement works
Earthworks, excavation, and disposal works
Infrastructure and general civil engineering works
Source tender invitations, quotation opportunities, subcontract packages, and project leads.
Understand clients project requirements and coordinate internally for quotation and proposal preparation.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while continuously developing new accounts.
Monitor upcoming projects, market developments, and potential business opportunities.
Follow up closely on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms where required.
Maintain an active pipeline of business opportunities and provide regular updates to Management.
Represent the Company at meetings, networking events, site visits, and industry functions.
Relevant experience in business development, sales, contracts, project management, or operations within Singapore's construction and civil engineering industry.
Strong existing network within the construction industry will be a significant advantage.
Good understanding of civil engineering and infrastructure works.
Able to independently source, develop, and follow through on business opportunities.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proactive, resourceful, commercially minded, and results-oriented.
Comfortable travelling around Singapore to meet clients, visit sites, and develop new business.
Candidates with experience working with main contractors, civil engineering contractors, developers, government infrastructure projects, or specialist subcontractors are preferred.
We are looking for someone who is not purely office-based. The ideal candidate should be active in the market, regularly meeting industry contacts, visiting clients and project sites, identifying opportunities, and converting relationships into actual business.
The primary objective of this position is clear: build networks, generate opportunities, and secure profitable projects for the Company.
