Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify project opportunities, build client relationships and drive project specifications for ADAS Group in Singapore, Malaysia, and internationally. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts to identify client needs and deliver high quality solutions in the construction sector.

This role requires both technical and commercial understanding to engage with key stakeholders such as developers, architects, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Function

  • Proactively identify, develop and pursue new sales opportunities through lead generation, engagement with local and overseas partners, proactive prospecting, networking, and outreach via calls, emails, social media platforms, and site visits.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants, contractors, distributors, end-users, and other key decision-makers
  • Promote and drive product specifications during the preliminary design stage, and track specified projects closely to maximize conversion opportunities
  • Drive opportunities through the sales cycle, assist in closing deals, and achieve annual sales and profitability targets
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming project opportunities to identify new business prospects
  • Receive incoming inquiries, review project requirements and ensure deliverables are met in accordance with client expectations
  • Work closely with the technical and project teams to prepare high-quality, value-added proposals to clients in the form of business proposals, design presentations, technical assessment and pricing documentation
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts and strategic opportunities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and professional account management
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, project opportunities, and pipeline status within the CRM system.
  • Represent the company in marketing presentations, meetings, exhibitions and events
  • Lead commercial discussions, prepare tender submissions where required, and negotiate contractual and commercial terms with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly reports regarding sales activities, pipeline status and market feedback
  • Prepare quarterly sales projections, market research reports and sales strategy action plans
  • Any other duties as required by the Managing Director

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development or technical sales within the construction industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing project specifications
  • Able to review and understand architectural drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM systems
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Class 3 Driving license is an advantage
  • Willing to travel regularly within Singapore, Malaysia, and overseas
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
