Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to support the growth of our gallery business through active sales, client development, and strategic outreach. The ideal candidate is passionate about art, possesses strong communication skills, and is able to build lasting relationships with collectors, corporate clients, and industry partners. This role focuses on expanding the gallery's market presence, increasing sales opportunities, and developing new business channels locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, corporate clients, interior designers, property developers, and art consultants.
  • Drive sales of artworks, exhibitions, and gallery-related services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to widen the gallery's client base and market reach.
  • Assist in planning and executing gallery exhibitions, art fairs, auctions, and promotional events.
  • Conduct outreach and networking activities to strengthen the gallery's visibility and partnerships.
  • Manage client inquiries, sales follow-ups, and after-sales relationship management.
  • Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for prospective clients.
  • Support digital marketing and social media initiatives to enhance audience engagement and lead generation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the art industry.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall gallery growth strategies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Arts Management, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, luxury retail, gallery, auction house, or art-related industries preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Passion for art and familiarity with the contemporary and modern art market is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Comfortable engaging with high-net-worth clients and corporate partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during exhibitions, events, and art fairs when required.

Preferred Qualities

  • Existing network within the art, luxury, hospitality, or corporate sectors.
  • Experience in client acquisition and account management.
  • Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Multilingual skills are an advantage.
