Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to expand our customer base in the F&B sector. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building client relationships from ground zero, and driving revenue growth through strategic business development.
Responsibilities
- Actively prospect and identify new F&B manufacturers and potential clients
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, industry events and market research
- Conduct market analysis to identify untapped segments and opportunities
- Arrange and conduct product presentations and technical discussions with prospects
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Guide customers through product sampling, testing and trial processes
- Prepare proposals, quotations and negotiate terms to close deals
- Build long-term relationships and manage existing accounts
- Work closely with technical team to develop solutions for customer applications
- Represent company at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events
- Track competitor activities and market trends
- Provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports
- Achieve new customer acquisition targets and revenue goals
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Business or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Experience in flavors, ingredients, food additives or F&B industry highly preferred
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills
- Hunter mentality with proven ability to open new accounts
- Understanding of F&B manufacturing processes and applications is an advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable with rejection
- Own transport required for client visits across Singapore
- Willing to travel regionally when needed
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- Good command of English (written and spoken) Mandarin and other languages are a plus
