Business Consultant (Head of Japan Desk) - Japanese-speaking

We are partnering with a regional business solutions firm to identify a Japanese-speaking Business Director to lead its Japan Desk and cross-border expansion initiatives across Southeast Asia.

This is a strategic, client-facing leadership role, ideal for individuals experienced in working with Japanese corporate clients and cross-border business environments.

Key Responsibilities

. Drive business development and expansion for Japanese companies entering Southeast Asia

. Manage and grow key Japanese client accounts, acting as a trusted advisor

. Lead cross-border projects, including market entry, compliance, and operational alignment

. Develop strategies to support regional growth and investment initiatives

. Support Singapore-based companies in expanding into the Japan market

. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to deliver seamless execution

Requirements

. Fluent in Japanese and English (to manage Japanese-speaking clients)

. Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in business development / strategy / consulting

. Strong exposure to Japanese corporate culture, business practices and attend business networking events

. Experience in cross-border expansion, advisory, or corporate services is highly preferred

. Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills

. Comfortable working in a regional, multicultural environment
