We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to drive the modernization of core Wealth Management systems, focusing on the CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS) and Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) platforms. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex regulatory and business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
This role requires a unique ability to work with legacy COBOL systems to understand and document the existing business logic for migration to a modern platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and gap assessment.
- Work directly with COBOL Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to reverse-engineer and clearly document the complex business rules embedded in our current systems.
- Create high-quality documentation (Functional Specifications, Process Maps) that translates legacy COBOL logic and regulatory requirements into a format usable by modern development teams.
- Support testing and defect resolution to ensure the new systems accurately and efficiently handle all CPF and SRS processes.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial Services industry, with direct exposure to Wealth Management, Investment Banking, or Retirement Products (CPF, SRS, Mutual Funds, Insurance).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to CPF Investment Scheme and Supplementary Retirement Scheme (or equivalent regulatory schemes).
- Expert in requirements elicitation (e.g., interviews, workshops), process modelling (BPMN), and documentation (BRD, FSD, User Stories).
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills adept in conducting workshops and driving consensus.
- Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Candidates with CBAP, IIBA, or similar certifications are advantageous.
